EN – Municipalism and climate change: which role for the cities within the ecological transition?
This debate will be moderated by Solenne Boiziau and Thomas Simon, from Fréquence Commune (France) with the following speakers:
- Ana Huertas is a facilitator of eco-social transition processes and coordinator of the international project Municipalities in Transition. She is part of the coordinating team for the Spanish Transition Hub and promoter of the collective housing project La Fàbrica de la Transición (Spain).
- Nicolas Haeringer, from 350.org (France) a non-governmental organisation founded in the United States and working for climate justice. It organises and campaigns for corporate and community divestment from fossil fuels, which are responsible for the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere and global warming.
- Vedran Horvat, director of the Institute of Political Ecology – IPE in Zagreb (Croatia), sociologist, journalist, author and activist.
- Sergi Escribano, from Commonspolis (Valencia, Spain), a think-do-tank whose mission is to strengthen citizen initiatives that build local alternatives to the systemic crisis. Agricultural engineer, founder of the Cátedra Tierra Ciudadana of the Polytechnic University of Valencia where he leads several projects related to the development of sustainable food systems.

Este debate será moderado por Solenne Boiziau y Thomas Simon de Fréquence Commune (France), con los siguientes ponentes :
- Ana Huertas es facilitadora de procesos de transición ecosocial y coordinadora del proyecto internacional Municipios en Transición. Es miembro de la coordinación de la Red de Transición e impulsora del proyecto de vivienda colectiva La Fàbrica de la Transición (España)
- Nicolas Haeringer, de 350.org (Francia), organización no gubernamental fundada en Estados Unidos que trabaja por la justicia climática. Organiza y dirige campañas para conseguir la desinversión de empresas y comunidades en combustibles fósiles, responsables del aumento de CO2 en la atmósfera y del calentamiento global.
- Vedran Horvat, es director del Instituto de Ecología Política – IPE en Zagreb (Croacia), sociólogo, periodista, autor y activista croata.
- Sergi Escribano, de Commonspolis (Valencia, Espagne), un think-do-tank cuya misión es fortalecer las iniciativas ciudadanas que construyen alternativas locales a la crisis sistémica. Ingeniero agrónomo, fundador de la Cátedra Tierra Ciudadana de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia donde dirige varios proyectos relacionados con el desarrollo de sistemas alimentarios sostenibles.

Ce débat sera animé par Solenne Boiziau et Thomas Simon de Fréquence Commune (France), avec les intervenants suivants :
- Ana Huertas est une facilitatrice de processus de transition éco-sociale et coordinatrice du projet international Municipalités en transition. Elle est membre de la coordination du Réseau Transition et promotrice du projet de logement collectif La Fàbrica de la Transición (Espagne).
- Nicolas Haeringer, de 350.org (France), une organisation non-gouvernementale fondée aux États-Unis et œuvrant pour la justice climatique. Elle organise et mène des campagnes en vue d’obtenir un désinvestissement des entreprises et collectivités dans les énergies fossiles, responsables de l’augmentation du CO2 dans l’atmosphère et du réchauffement climatique.
- Vedran Horvat, est directeur de l’Institut d’Ecologie Politique – IPE de Zagreb (Croatie), sociologue, journaliste, auteur et activiste croate.
- Sergi Escribano, de Commonspolis (Valencia, Espagne), un think-do-tank dont la mission est de renforcer les initiatives citoyennes qui construisent des alternatives locales à la crise systémique. Ingénieur agronome, fondateur de la Cátedra Tierra Ciudadana de l’Université Polytechnique de Valencia où il mène plusieurs projets liés au développement des systèmes alimentaires durables.
